Indiana law on “selective” abortion held unconstitutional. Last Thursday, the Chicago-based United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit held that a law banning “ selective” abortions imposes an unconstitutionally undue burden on women’s right to choose. The law, which had been signed by Mike Pence as Governor of Indiana, prevented women from electing to terminate their pregnancies based on fetal characteristics, such as gender or disability.
